Inberg-Miller Engineers has been providing Geotechnical Engineering consulting services throughout Wyoming since 1977. We have successfully provided clientele with the necessary experience, expertise, ability, and equipment to perform technical engineering services.
Our clientele ranges from private individuals, small and large businesses, industrial, mining and mineral companies, to local, state, and federal government. Inberg-Miller Engineers (IME) is ideally qualified to provide responsive, cost-efficient, and locally knowledgeable services for our clients throughout Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain Region.
Experience
IME has performed numerous subsurface explorations at many sites throughout Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain Region for over 20 years. Literally thousands of test borings have been drilled and sampled in soil and rock throughout Wyoming and adjacent states at depths typically ranging from 5 feet to over 100 feet. A wide variety of laboratory tests have been performed on numerous soil and rock samples collected from the test borings. As a result, IME has a thorough understanding and familiarity with local geologic conditions throughout Wyoming and surrounding states.
Our Geotechnical Engineering staff includes several professional engineers with advanced degrees in Geotechnical Engineering and with a combined experience of over 70 years. This experience has been gained from practicing in Wyoming as well as throughout the country.
Geotechnical Engineering consulting services we have performed include foundation analysis and design for multi-million dollar municipal, residential, commercial, industrial, waste disposal, mine reclamation, and oil and gas facility projects. Depending on the subsurface soil and ground water conditions encountered and the anticipated foundation loads, IME has provided recommendations for a wide variety of appropriate foundation types, including conventional shallow spread footings, deep foundations consisting of either driven piles and/or drilled piers, monolithic mat foundations, etc. Our Geotechnical Engineering experience also includes earth dam reconnaissance and design, slope stability analysis, and design of retaining structures.
IME has a wide range of equipment and drilling methods to offer our clients: Hollow-Stem Augers (HSA), Solid Flight Augers (SFA), Air Rotary (including a Cyclone Sampling System), Mud Rotary, and a continuous sampling system with HSA. In addition, Inberg-Miller Engineers operates seven geotechnical/environmental drilling rigs: two Mobile B-57s, one Central Mining Equipment CME-45, two Central Mining Equipment CME-55s, one Central Mining Equipment CME-85, and one AMS PowerProbe 9600-D mounted on a one-ton truck.
Laboratory
Inberg-Miller Engineers' laboratory is currently accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). IME offers the full range of laboratory testing services, supporting geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and water quality testing applications. Geotechnical tests offered range from the simplest soil index tests to the most sophisticated triaxial shear strength tests. Other tests include the full range of Portland Cement Concrete, aggregate, and asphaltic concrete tests. Our laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art computerized data acquisition technology for accurate cost efficient and timely test results.
